As a photographer one of the main ways to keep challenging yourself and improving is to enter competitions. One of the most prestigious competitions is the Siena International Photo Awards I entered this competition with a view to seeing how my work faired against my peers. I was initially delighted to have two of my four entries shortlisted for the Sport in Action category.
I was even more pleased when one of the two was awarded "Remarkable Artwork" which given the strength of the competition is a significant achievement. As with anything in life it is important not to rest on your laurels, the quality of the work showcased by these awards spurs me on to continue improving!
